*The Role*

We are seeking a *Bookkeeper / Junior Accountant* to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with accounting experience who is looking to grow within a public accounting environment.

*Responsibilities*

* Maintain accurate bookkeeping records, including reconciliations, accounts receivable/payable
* Process payroll and prepare T4/T5 slips
* Prepare and file GST/HST and other government remittances
* Preparation of personal tax returns
* Preparation of client correspondence (emails, letters, memos)
* Communicate effectively with clients and team members
* Handle pre- and post- assessment reviews inquired by the CRA.
* Opportunities to work on year-end working papers, financial statements, corporate and trust tax returns as skills progress

*Qualifications*

* Minimum 1 year of accounting experience (public accounting experience preferred)
* Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and a positive attitude

*Technical Skills (Mandatory)*

* *QuickBooks*
* *Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)*

*Additional Assets*

* Experience in a public accounting firm (preferred)
* Mandarin language skills (asset)
* CaseWare/Taxprep software (asset)
* TaxPrep (asset)

Pay: From $38,000.00 per year
